Coming in 2025! A huge part of my goals as a breeder includes maintaining strong herding instinct and working drive in our MAS / Mini Aussies. There are some really spectacular bloodlines that have already been brought into minis that maintains this standard. But unfortunately, there are not that many left who are not fairly closely related or heavily line bred due to the limited availability of those dog in the mini gene pool. In order to ensure our programs genetics are not being bottlenecked, it is our goal to bring in a pure, working line, Australian Shepherd female to our program so we can ensure those treasured lines, with superior drive and instinct, remain close up in our dogs genetics without heavily inbreeding to maintain it. This will take some of the pressure off future pairings as well, since bringing in a fresh line means we can revisit some of the tried and true herding line minis that are already available. We have carefully selected a breeder who works their dogs on their cattle ranch daily, and whose lines combine several HOF kennels, providing proven high drive working instinct. We are very grateful for this opportunity and are excited to expand our program in 2025 to welcome this new girl into our family! Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the end of the year...
