Morgan Horses
Morgan horses are the original American Sport Horse!
First developed in the late eighteenth century, these horses started as workers for small farms and homesteads in Vermont and Northern New England. As they grew in popularity, due to their athleticism and versatility matched with outstanding temperaments, they became popular saddle horses. The breed continued to spread across the country as ranchers and farmers traveled west. Heavily used during the civil war, the Morgan horse was a prized cavalry mount for the United States. In the early twentieth century, the government started its own breeding program of Morgan horses. Today you can find Morgan's competing in every discipline from working western through FEI eventing.
Our focus is on producing beautiful Morgans, with outstanding temperaments and natural athleticism, allowing them to excel in a variety of disciplines. While our horses would flourish in a variety of programs, we predominantly train and compete in working western sports.
