July 2026
We are continuing to be busy with UpDog, Dock Diving, and puppy training through the summer. Tinker Bell has earned her very first UpDog Achievement in 4 Way Play by clearing her first ever single quad! She stayed connected, caught her short air tosses, carried her disc, and even gave me some strong tugs despite having lost several teeth the 24 hours prior. She is turning into a heck of a fun sport dog. Good girl, Tink!
Gillyweed has now qualified for both NADD Regionals and UDD Finals. I will be out of the country during the UDD Finals but am hopeful he will still be able to compete with a friend of mine who is going with her Dutchie named Bane. Gillyweed doesn't care much who is throwing for him, so he will have a blast regardless.
Both Gillyweed and Phoenix have their Disc Dog Gold completed. Phoenix has two Platinum UPs and is working on finishing her third to round out her Disc Dog Platinum title. She is also holding firm on the FastCAT rankings at #12 for the year. Hopefully, we will squeak a few more runs in this fall/winter. Her dad (Firenze), sister (Abraxan), brother (Thestral), and cousin (Mackinaw) all got invites to the FastCAT Invitational for 2025. I am incredibly proud to be in their official fan club and extended family. We will be cheering loudly for them from Florida!
We also are getting closer to finishing our new addition which includes a new dog room. Looking forward to using our new space!

It's been a crazy busy last few months but here is the short and sweet version of all the recent happenings!...
We have officially moved to our new property in Arcadia, FL and are absolutely loving it. We are making a lot of upgrades but there is a ton more land for the dogs, we will soon have our horse pasture and barn ready, we are putting in a new addition that will include a dog fitness / whelping room, there is an above ground pool for the dogs to swim, walking paths through the woods, an open space for a future UpDog field, and so much more. It's everything we had hoped and more!
Shortly after moving we traveled north for a couple weeks to attend UPDIF 2026. The dogs had a blast. We hit some new personal best scores. Watched a ton of kick ass teams play. Hung out with a bunch of friends. Went hiking. Ate delicious food. Enjoyed our time away and safely made it back home.
Right after getting home, our new Aussie girl (Tinker Bell) was delivered! She is gorgeous, fun, spunky, so smart, and incredibly confident. She is going to be an absolute blast!
Gillyweed also managed to pull in a second place overall at a NADD qualifier event, so we are going to be heading to more dock diving events this year in preparation for the 2026 Regional Finals in Distance Jump. He is such a fun little dude and so far has jumped into the next division up with every event we enter. His current personal best is 17'6" in the open senior division. Good job little man!
And last but not least, watch out for Phoenix on the FastCAT rankings this year! Her current personal best is 27.57 mph and she should be set up currently to rank in the Top 15 MAS.
I am looking forward to the future of our program and all the adventures to come!

We have worked hard to up our game this year and I could not be prouder of these two incredible little dogs.

We traveled a couple hours north this morning to watch the final rounds of the CFDDC Triple Crown UpDog in Dade City, FL (congratulations to the competitors!) and to reunite Jitterbug with her new owners.
I am thrilled to congratulate Kat and Jack Fahle on their purchase of "Bug"! Her new registered name is "Shieldmaiden's Old School Swing" and I couldn't be more proud to co-own this super fun little firecracker with them. I look forward to cheering them on as a team and can't wait to see all the fun adventures they have together!
